The goal of Pilates is to achieve a balanced body by training coordinated and efficient movement patterns. It is ideal for anyone wanting to participate in an innovative and safe exercise programme, no matter what your age or condition. If practiced consistently, Pilates can dramatically enhance the way your body looks, feels and performs.

Approach & Objectives

Pilates focuses largely on correct breathing, spinal, and pelvic alignment, and a concentration of smooth flowing movements providing kinesthetic awareness and a stable base from which to move.

By connecting and integrating all of these aspects, pilates along with yoga, becomes a true mind-body experience.

Physiyolates has vast experience of working within a clinical environment, utilising the pilates method and specialised equipment for rehabilitation of injury and enhancing fitness and sports performance. We are extremely interested in applying the science of pilates to improve posture, relieve pain and stiffness and improve movement efficiency.
