Trigger Point therapy

Trigger points are painful spots in muscle tissue that can radiate pain to other areas in the body. Trigger point therapy is a hands-on technique in which trigger points are located and treated to reduce pain and ‘deactivate’ the points.

Soft tissue mobilisations

Assessment, treatment and management of soft tissue injury, pain and dysfunction primarily of the neuromusculoskeletal system.

Spinal mobilisations and manipulations

Forms of manual therapy. Mobilisations are slow, controlled techniques to improve joint and soft tissue function whilst manipulations are the application of a rapid rotational, shear or distraction force into a joint.

Acupuncture

Complementary medicine in which fine needles are inserted into the skin at specific points along, what are considered to be, lines of energy (meridians). Used in the treatment of various physical and medical conditions.

Specific and essential phase of end-stage rehabilitation enabling you to be fit to return to your chosen sport.

Progressive outdoor sports specific rehabilitation

Specific outdoor rehabilitation programmes to enable you to return to sport in the safest and most efficient way.

Functional rehabilitation

Specific individual programmes incorporating Pilates rehabilitation equipment.

Clinical yoga and Pilates techniques

Using traditional yoga and Pilates methodology and principles, and applying it to a rehabilitation setting.

Injury prevention strategies

Identifying physical and psychological injury prevention strategies for your sports.

Functional movement screening

Assessment of several basic movement patterns to identify tightness and weakness in the body that may potentially lead to injury.

Strength and conditioning exercises

Prescribed exercises specifically, but not limited, to improve performance of athletes within their chosen sport. In addition, aids with injury prevention.

Gait Re-education

Helping you improve your ability to stand and walk following injury/surgery as well as gaining confidence and independence.

Biomechanical assessments

Examination of the lower limbs looking at their structure, alignment, strengths and weaknesses.
